We developed a surgical elbow phantom to investigate the reduction of the risk of iatrogenic nerve damage brought by the use of AR in the operating room.

This was possible thanks to the financial and scientific collaboration of Intravides guided by Prof. Calì and Antonio Cangelosi together with surgical expertise by Paolo Titolo.

3D design and production

The development of realistic, anatomically precise, and fully 3D printable bones, as well as a silicone molding technology to simulate soft tissues, were the key challenges.
